KINS 4430 - Instructional Design for Elementary PE

Field Experience Coordinator:  Dr. Starla McCollum

Semester timeline:

Week 2:  Begin communication with schools (gathering placement capacity and    interest).  Also, begin communicating initial placement requests - including, where possible - name of university supervisor.

Weeks 6, 9-14:  Students report to school

Week 14:  End of field experience
   

Brief description of experience:

The purpose of this field experience is to provide PTs with the opportunity to plan and teach a variety of skill themes related to educational games and fitness to elementary school students.  PTs go to the schools for 6 hours each week of the EFE. They are responsible for designing lesson plans and maintaining a reflective journal throughout the experience.
